Many of you might wonder what it's like for Makayla and me to serve as missionaries in the unreached country of Thailand! Today, I answer some interesting questions and pray they're a blessing for you.
Updates
Newsletter Schedule

Makayla and I have spent two years faithfully releasing newsletters every month. We always viewed these times with great joy and were honored to share them with you all. Recently, we have felt the Lord's leading to pray about releasing newsletters every 2-3 months. At first, we were apprehensive, but after processing and praying, we believe this decision will be a positive one. We will have more time to allocate toward the ministry here, and we hope this change will bring about more and higher quality content.
10 Months

Hudson is 10 months old today! We can't believe how quickly he has grown and how big he's getting! He now has four teeth and loves to show them off with a big grin.
Thai Mother's Day

This month we celebrated Thai Mother's Day which is on August 12th. It is celebrated on this day due to it being the Queen Mother's birthday. Erik and I put together around seven or eight goodie bags with gifts like chocolate, facemasks, hair bands, etc. along with a card that had a Bible verse and a short message about how grateful we are to be in each of the moms' lives.
Samui Learns English

Recently we've begun teaching English to Samui since he comes around so often. We use a kid's Bible to share stories with him and he's been enjoying it a lot. Speaking English is a very important skill to have and often, Thai people are willing to pay a lot of money for their children to learn. Samui of course learns for free and the best part of all, he learns about God while doing it.
Best Friends

We have been growing in our friendships with those in our missional community. This little girl whose name is Model, is one of them. Her mom and two friends moved to Trang from the northeastern region of Thailand. They don't seem to have many friends, so I (Makayla) have especially been building a friendship with them. We gave Model's mom, Bell, a Mother's Day gift.

Special Message For Our Friends and Family
Hello friends and family. I pray you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to chilly mornings, colorful leaves, and of course... pumpkin spice lattes ;) Speaking of, I heard Starbucks released its PSL early this year? Blessings on blessings.
As you all enjoy the first hints of Fall, Erik and I are already in the throws of monsoon season with nonstop rain for the last two weeks. It will continue like this into December. In a way, it feels a bit like Thailand's very own Fall season with temperatures as chilly as 80 degrees. Sometimes I even have to bust out the old sweatshirt.
Anyway, we just wanted to say thank you for your faithful support and constant love toward us. Know that you are in our prayers and that we are counting down the days until we get to see you in person. We are so grateful to God for your prayers over us as well. Thank you for continuing to partner with us in seeing Jesus loved by the Thai people.
Thank you,
The Gonzalez Family
